jennifer-brown.png

>> President & Co-Founder

Jennifer is a natural connector of people. She can’t help but facilitate when she knows two people need to meet each other. Building and maintaining relationships are part of what fills her heart. Jen is a serial entrepreneur. A lover of tech and part-nerd, she tends to garner just enough knowledge to be dangerous.

Technology is something that has always fascinated her since her first Apple computer for Christmas in 1983 and summer camp for ‘dot programming’ at JCCC in 6th grade.

Jen is the Client Relationship Manager at Midwestern Financial Group, the family legacy business, where she gets to live out many passions. She is driving the digital transformation for the company while making sure that the client experience is always exceptional.

Jen has been with DWKC since the first mini-conference. After seeing the obvious need the organization filled she was fully committed to helping DWKC continue to enable and empower women in KC and beyond.

Jennifer has a B.S.E. with a major in Sports Management from the University of Kansas. She has 3 brothers and 2 sons - making her naturally comfortable around men. Therefore DWKC and building healthy relationships with women has truly been a foundational need. When you throw in a long history of very dysfunctional (toxic) scenarios with other females in the workplace, Jen considers Digital Women KC a saving grace.

She has lived in 8 states and Vienna, Austria.
