Join DWKC for a panel discussion on communications with five dynamic leaders. Discover their tips for using strong communication skills to navigate the complexities of the digital world, foster better relationships, and collaborate successfully.

Meet our panelists:

Hannah Bower, CPKC

  • Hannah has been a familiar face in Kansas City's advertising community since her college days at Northwest Missouri State University. With over 15 years of experience under her belt, she's worked at notable companies like Attane/GlynnDevins, C3, and SMG, and now holds a key role at CPKC. Hannah is passionate about creating presentations that take complex ideas and showcase them in a way that's simple and easy to digest. She has extensive experience presenting to both internal and external audiences, engaging with all levels of an organization.

Lou Drews, Eversana InTouch

  • Lou is an 18 year veteran in marketing and advertising spending most of her time at agencies throughout Kansas City. She started her career at Intouch, spending seven formative years when they were just one company with a lot fewer employees. Since her time at Intouch, Lou has spent time with a variety of clients and industries gathering skills and experience along the way in travel and hospitality, hospitals to reach at-risk populations ,insurance and is now back to her roots at Eversana Intouch working in pharmaceutical marketing.

Stacy Scheelk, Simply Stated, LLC

  • Stacy is a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive with over 25 years of experience in brand development, sales, and strategic growth. Known for her exceptional networking abilities and keen business acumen, Stacy has a proven track record of crafting and executing innovative strategies that elevate brand presence, exceed sales goals, and drive market expansion. With a unique blend of strategic thinking and hands-on experience, Stacy brings immediate credibility to any role through her outstanding communication skills, empathy, and innovative problem-solving approach.

Kelsey Shockley, Propoganda3

  • Kelsey is a Texas native and the Chief Creative Officer at Propaganda3 based in KC. Her journey began at the Kansas City Art Institute, where she earned a BFA in Graphic Design. Over the past 12 years, her role has evolved from that of a production designer to leading creative teams at Propaganda3. Her work spans digital experiences across websites, apps, and other immersive displays. Throughout her career, Kelsey has collaborated with clients from diverse industries, each project beginning with the core question: Who are we trying to connect with, and how can we best craft that message? This approach has fueled her passion for designing meaningful and effective digital solutions. Outside of P3, she enjoys audiobooks, video games, and beekeeping to recharge her batteries and fuel her inspiration.

Kim Verhoeven, KC Monarchs

  • Kim is the SVP of Revenue Development for the Kansas City Monarchs where she oversees sales, marketing and community outreach for the organization.  She has had many Senior Leadership positions in Marketing and Communications and has vast experience in communicating with Executives, Board Members, customers and media.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and the Greater Kansas City Attractions Association, previously served on the LLS Board, City of Parkville Parks and Rec Board and was a Planning and Zoning Commissioner.  Kim loves building authentic, trusting relationships with people no matter if she’s in the Board Room or the ballpark.
